But that's what I mean. Someone else had a nefarious intent with it, Trump just uses it as a playbook, not a policy.
I don't disagree, but my point is that Trump, in those cases, is not the directing hand

has no one told Trump that diplomatic protocol states that the host should speak first? Does he not understand what a submissive bitch he looks like by letting Putin speak first in his OWN country? He's not just bending over on a personal basis, he's the fkg POTUS ffs...

American presidents have often been submissive to the Russian president, at the expense of the Ukrainians. Remember Obama's gobsmacking remark to Mitt Romney during the 2012 Presidential debate regarding the threat Russia poses. Two years later he did nothing while Putin gobbled up Crimea. Under Biden's watch, Putin rolled in the tanks for the rest of Ukraine.

Trump is certainly unorthodox - and many things besides - but I think he'll go the distance in trying to restore some semblance of peaceable "normal" in Ukraine, again most likely at the expense of the Ukrainians. The damage was already done there under two previous US presidents...

I agree there were awful foreign policy error by both Obama and Biden. As there have been by Trump, but this is different. This is on par with trying to invite the Taliban to Camp David. But leaders... not just American ones, are supposed to speak first. To allow the kidnapper of children, a genocidal maniac to speak first, exactly what did he do to earn that honour? I'm honestly stunned.

PS, I don't believe that suggesting Ukraine cedes Donetsk and Luhansk to Russia its viable. It literally opens up the entire country to Russia. There is simply no evidence that Russia would honour any agreement, so it would be tantamount to abject surrender. I don't believe that any of the Joint Chiefs would have advised that, so Trump was just whiffing on the spot. It's insane mate. If that's what he believes will achieve peace then he's on the completely wrong track.

I agree. It’s too late now to stop Putin in Ukraine. The missus is Lithuanian and soon as Putin took over Russia they all fell into a dread. They knew this man, they’d seen his type forever. Yet Obama pretended to think differently, so he could avoid having to confront him, and once Crimea was conceded, the follow through was inevitable, though tellingly it happened under Biden.

As for speaking first etc, I agree on that but that’s small chips. The Taliban comparison is apt though of course on the left in America, the animalistic Taliban and Hamas are heroic freedom fighters against colonial oppressors…

Strong, and very good. A very close friend is going through those same procedures - unrelated to United Healthcare, but they ought to be ashamed…
It is a shame that doctors in this country have to waste so much time on the phone trying to justify their decisions to private insurance companies. And they do it, too. This video is what's wrong with health care insurance in this country, in a nutshell. It's profit-based, and not care-based.

The narrator of that video says that most people in the country celebrated the guy that murdered the CEO of United Healthcare. That's not really true. But I'll tell you what IS true: when we heard the murder victim was the head of a big health insurance company, everyone said, "Oh, I know why that guy got murdered." And it wasn't for sleeping for some other guy's wife. Such is the frustration with health care insurance in the US.

I know you like to rag on Obama, but he passed the Affordable Care Act, which at least got a huge number of Americans insured, which is something. He did what he could within the confines of the system. When Bill Clinton got elected, he naively believed he could overhaul the system completely, and bring in universal healthcare. So many years later, and insurance companies still run this country. But, even though Republicans originally tried to repeal the ACA, they realized that both Democratic and Republican voters were not letting go of their new-found health insurance.

I literally cringed when I watched that! What happened to...

"I have a dream that ..............children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

add/replace gender or whatever other sub-group descriptive to colour in that powerful statement and MLK's dream would remain, but these people who would claim him as a patron saint oppose his deepest aspiration. Sad!!!

this is literally what's happening in the UK
It mirrors what the defector from the Soviet said about demoralising a nation via ideological subversion to bring it down. We've played that video on here several times, but here it is again.

Everything he said has been rolled out - destruction of the core family unit and values, destruction of moral standards, destruction of the natural defenders of said systems, reversing things so people will literally say snow is black if they are told to do so.

He also said that the very puppets used to bring down the system will be the first ones to be got rid of, and they'd only realise it at the very last moment. And that facts and evidence were totally irrelevant during this process due to the level of brainwashing. Just a careful mental note to those who really think men can get pregnant... They can't say they weren't warned about the ramifications of destroying their own culture.

yes I remember this. I completely agree. I strongly believe that this wouldn't have worked if there wasn't a sub-group in the West that was determined to overthrow what they perceived as an unequal society. It wasn't the communists, the climate change activists or even the race warriors, I think it was the feminists and the rest of those sub-groups became ready allies. The education system in the West has experienced a dramatic change over the last 3 decades with increasingly fewer men working in it. The data is compelling. It's through that weak spot that idealogical capture has leaked in and educational principles and consensus has been co-opted. To be clear, I believe that feminists are still a minority amongst women, but they have the intensity and passion to prosecute their agenda

Yeah I remember this as well. So many fifth columnists in the west on so many levels of government and education who would happily destroy it and cheerlead it’s enemies - then become even more unbearably whiny when it’s gone and they realise how spoilt and cushy they were all along..

Damn it! I hate it when I agree with Trump!

so... news comes out that while the Trump Administration has been willing to sell long range missiles to Ukraine via Europe, it still retains veto power over their use. That's literally the same thing Biden was doing. There's been NO change! Thankfully Ukraine has been designing its own missiles which have longer range. The don't rely on the US military satellite guidance system. Both Biden and Trump are really messing up. Why on earth will anyone want to buy US weaponry if they can't use them or they are tied to US guidance systems. The French, Japanese and Koreans must be rubbing their hands with glee, they will surely eat into US arms sales in future. And mark my words, when Ukraine finally ends this war (and I think they have a better chance than most understand), they'll be a serious player in the global arms market too

This is interesting, not only because it’s about American politics but it’s a thing in the west, where there’s a disconnect between the left, and reality. The mainstreaming of mental illness and the denial of just how unpopular their “activist” class level politics is:
