good questions...

I'm sure you understand the difference between people killed by random violence, and people killed by cops. This woman doesn't need to call out BLM, she needs to call out the Trump administration which likes to highlight illegal immigrants preying on white people. She's confusing issues, and missing who she really needs to blame, if this woman's death is being ignored.

Rather more importantly, the head of FEMA doesn't seem to be aware that there is a hurricane season, which began 4 days ago, and lasts until the end of November. Spokesperson for the WH is playing it off as a joke. But that's the same excuse they use for every gaffe Trump makes, and every member of his cabinet makes. And none of these "jokes" are even vaguely funny. Someone tell these people they're bureaucrats, not stand-up comedians, and they're responsible for people's lives.

Returning the narrow-minded commentary of the right, "at least the true need is in Red States" where they asked for this kind of leadership! :face-with-head-bandage:

you completely missed her point, but that doesn't surprise me, and I don't mean it in a defamatory way. Her focus is entirely on the African American community and how they have allowed their issues to be politicised. Where is the greatest harm, the highest violence? It's unquestionably the violence within the community. Need I mention Chicago? Why does an organisation which purports to support black lives do very little with that? Because the politics is easier, more controversial, more... lucrative. But completely ineffective for the community it claims to support. That's just the simple truth.

PS, Smart phones have done more to curtail police malfeasance (against ALL races) than any progressive groups..

That isn't what she said, but what you read in. She made it very much about illegal aliens killing this woman, though, which is politicizing in another way, in this country. I do appreciate that she said "where is her hashtag' because black woman, in particular, have always died too anonymously in this country. A white suburban mother would likely have made more news. If a white suburban mother had been murdered by illegal aliens, Trump wouldn't stop talking about it. I don't see why the problem would be only within the community. It's not just BLM and NAACP that should be called out.

Likewise, the people who will be most adversely affected by cuts to Medicaid come from red states. And what do they get, when they suggest that people will die, due to these drastic cuts? Jodi Ernst, Republican Sen. from Iowa, tells her people in a town hall: "Well, we're all going to die."

Compassionate conservatism went the way of the dinosaurs years ago. Same with all of the teachings of Jesus, in right-wing Christian political thought.

Yup. Elon himself is weighing on his corporate brand. I wonder if his fight with Trump will do anything to assuage the hostility of Dems or non-Americans at this point...

No, I'm sure he lost all of those people, with his erstwhile enthusiasm for Trump, and now, whatever he might have picked up on the other side of the spectrum will now turn against him. Basically everyone can see him for the unstable freak that he is.

I don't disagree. Just speculating on best case scenarios for him. I'm not optimistic

Elon's as doomed as anyone who's backed Trump; to wander the desert as an outcast for all time IMB! He's a special kind of idiot who alienated his best customers, but getting what he wanted by having the ear of Trump! What good has it done him? His company is literally "hanging on" trying to weather the storm of this bad press! :angry-face::yawningface::fearful-face::astonished-face:

I wonder if the board will kick him out soon. And Trump can make good on coming after him. Those drugs allegations are an issue for him with government contracts.
