I still think on a fast hard court Sinner has the edge, it was a shame in Cinncy when he got sick for the final, could hardly stand, up to then he was playing well and he had to retire, and it has taken a few matches in NYC to get back to his usual playing level on a HC.Well don’t forget Carlos in Paris, but yeah, Sinner is having a banner year, kind of like Roger at the same age. Looking at the semis, Novak will be dangerous for Carlos if Carlos doesn’t open up and play his usual game. Trying to play on Novaks terms didn’t work in Oz and won’t in New York. But if Carlos wins the semi, I fancy him in the final. Conversely if Novak beats Carlos, the Business As Usual between Novak and Sinner lately is a straight sets victory for the Italian…
One match at a time,I am not getting ahead of myself.
As my husband pointed out to me, Sinner could have been playing for a calendar slam at the USO ( of course he still has to make the final) when he was serving for the final at RG this year,
