Just watched again! Trying to decide if this is that "changing of the guard" as we saw with Federer when he defeated Sampras back in 2002?!

This is in no way a "changing of the guard". In order to qualify for that we should reasonably expect Hubi to win multiple slams and become the leader of his generation. While both may indeed happen, I don't fancy the chances for that.
