Here is your one-stop place to discuss upsets. Post your upset predictions each day here. Alert fellow viewers of brewing upsets so that they can lay aside the important work they are doing and catch some glimpses of an impending upset. Gloat and/or commiserate after the fact.

For the opening day, I project the following three upsets (but not claiming these will be the only ones).

  1. Bailashville to beat Murray (technically this won't be an upset as B is seeded)
  2. Deliciano to beat Evans
  3. Herbert to beat Andujar

Stefanos could not see over the clouds of RG and now he is cemented for some time.

Dennis Kudla took out Davidovich who made his name known to me @RG.

Also, Opelka was shown the door by Kopefer in another demonstration of being tall is not good enough to win grass matches.

Disappointed to see Sinner out. Fucsovics is dangerous, though, and has played well against some top players, if I remember correctly.

Sinner gets fucsed.

Sinner has not much experience on grass.

I know, but still. He's probably the most promising of the young guys, and I'm ready for the Post-Big Three Era...like three years ago.
Patience is a Virture:)....wait for the HC season it is a surface I feel Sinner is more suited for.

I am projecting Nishioka (5'7") to beat Isner (6'10").

Nishioka is the Pocket Rocket of Men's Tennis (after Shortman, of course). However, I have not seen him play recently and hopefully he is in good form.

So far, there were five upsets today (so far).

1. Thomson defeated C. Ruud #12

2. Nick defeated Ugo #21.

3. Nishioka defeated Isner #28 (which I predicted above).

4. Querry defeated PCB #11 (Querry will be the 4th round opp of Fed, if Fed goes that far)

5. Chardy defeated Karatsev #30.
