Jack Draper will finish the 2025 season in the Top Ten despite only playing 1 match since his Wimbledon R2 loss to Marin Cilic
Only played 11 tournaments.

Draper had a very good first half of the year, disappointing (and mostly hurt) second half. He's accrued 2990 ATP points, more than half which came from two Masters: Indian Wells win (1000) and Madrid final (650).After Roland Garros (about halfway), he's only earned 300 points. If he had a similar second half as his first, he'd be top 5, and competing for year-end #3.

Hopefully in 2026 he can remain healthy all year, shame his body lets him down, it has been a recurring problem for Draper so far in his career, hopefully his new coach Jamie Delgado in 2026 and his trainer can add some more strength training in the gym.

It still baffles me that a country like Sweden, which has a huge tennis tradition, has been sucking so bad in the rankings for this long . The highest ranking guy Ymer has been around for ages and he is at 159, Borg's son who is 22 is in the 400s I think. Papa Borg had 6 slams by 22. I know it is not fair to compare but...This is the country of Edberg, Wilander, Borg, Bjorkman , Soderling ( if that's your thing), even Enqvist who won like 20 titles or something.
What happened?

Why baffled? The size of the country has little to do w/ it; including a legacy of Swedish greatness w/ Borg, Wilander, Edberg, etc.! Serbia's a perfect example where 1 player's made all the difference, giving the country huge notoriety w/ 24 majors listed, but it's still done by only 1 person! The rest of the players just haven't made their mark, but got that 1 Davis Cup like Borg helped to get back in the day! End rant! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Posted about this before:

I don’t want to jinx them but it certainly looks very possible within a few years Spain will have the record for most consecutive weeks at least one of their players is ranked in the top 10.

Prior to Rafa, they had Moya, Ferrero, Costa, Corretjia, etc. They may have 26-28 consecutive years & counting

As you mentioned in another thread, Jannik doesn't have anything to defend for a while, so he could make up some ground on Carlos, but that's a big spread between them and everyone else.

Jannik has nothing to defend until Rome, it is still a big spread between Carlos and Jannik and the rest of everyone else

The problem for Sinner is that it’s not like Carlos had a great 1st qtr in 2025 , I figure He has at most 410 points to “defend” from last year until the clay court season. For example he “only” made the SF of Indian Wells & lost in the 1st round of Miami.

Heck he could potentially actually increase his points lead…
