Medvedev still spiraling down going out today against the big serving of Opelka! It went 3 sets and Daniil won the 1st set! Been happening a lot; a real inability to finish! WTF? Maybe we exaggerated his skill due to a couple wins over Djokovic! Poor guy smashed his racket after MP! :lol6:

Medvedev has really lost it since he was beaten at the USO.

I thought last year’s US Open final was going to be Medvedev’s launch pad for a great year. COVID-19 has dramatically affected everyone’s year, of course, but there have been events he could (if not should) have won. I‘m disappointed. Now I‘m wondering if, in retrospect, the 2019 final will have been his greatest achievement.

He was one many were wondering about in the return to tennis. I hope the '19 USO doesn't end of being his greatest achievement. But he certainly hasn't found that run of form from that summer.

Rublev just beat Shapo in 3, I see. Coric v. Raonic up next. Go Borna!

Rublev over Shapovalov 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

“ We’re not in Queens or Roland Garros anymore, Toto.”
Andrey serves out the match in impressive fashion at 5-4 in the third. Rublev’s 2nd straight ATP 500 final made, the kid is just progressing along nicely.
