Lois Boisson joins Monica Seles (1989 French Open) and Jennifer Capriati (1990 French Open) as the only women's tennis players to reach the semifinals of their debut slams.

... and the lowest ranked woman in 40 yrs. to make the Semi-Finals! Things have certainly changed from the days when seeds fell in order! :fearful-face:

Lois Boisson and Coco getting the night match is a win for women's tennis.

A quick reply Don as I am about to go out
Well my predication of Iga not making the final came true
What a clinical display of tennis from Saba in the 3rd set to make her first RG final, she was my predication to make the final
Au Revoir!

If that was an audition to put on more women's matches in the night session, it failed big time. Lois Boisson didn't put up much of a fight today, as Coco advances 6-1, 6-2.

Well it was to be expected! Cinderella had to see the clock approaching "12" & her fairy tale journey finally came to an end! Boisson was "in the zone" upsetting #3 & #6 in the world, but finally fell out of it, crashing back to Earth! We'll see if it was a preview of things to come or just a footnote in the storybook exitence of the French Open! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

She was gassed. It was bound to catch up to her at some point. That point was today. I knew Coco would do what everyone else couldn't: handle the crowd. She had a life changing fortnight. Let's see what happens after the grass.
