I'll go with the wily old fox, Frew MacMillan, not only because he's an immaculate judge of the game but because he's a true doubles star, and he plied his trade successfully during the Golden Era for Australian tennis...

Sorry, he was from South Africa unfortunately! That era wasn't so GOLDEN back then; even with the Krugarrand! His partner, Bob Hewitt may have migrated from Australia though before becoming one of the best all time great doubles' team winning at least 3 Wimbledons!

I meant to add that but I thought it was understood: he was a successful doubles player as a non-Australian, even during the Australian era. I always liked Frew, as a player and more so as a commentator. Two handed both sides? No bother! Himself and Mac would finely balance each other, as well as being the most unorthodox team imaginable...
