Wow I just watched his documentary on showtime from about 8 years ago, very powerful and excellent insight on Nick's relationships with Agassi, Becker and Jim Courier.
He was undeniably a lightning rod back in the day, as some “purists” thought his approach/academy was ruining the game. In hindsight I think some of the criticism was unwarranted, and there was no denying his genuine love of the game and devotion to his players.
When I think of late 80’s & 90’s tennis, the iconic image of a suntanned Nick with shades always come to mind.
