Well - first congats to Maria for her win BUT why do you have to start a new cold war against a young player who's just beaten you in Miami. Another thing it's normal to excuse a special lucky shot which you didn't - not nice. I know you want to win and you have the best clay game - but be nice.

If you haven't seen the final, don't bother with a replay. It is not worth the time. Pova is an error machine and Carla is too nervous.

So, Kerber, Kvitova and Dominatrix are our clay winners this season.

However, I would think that Serena, Halep and Carla's chances at RG are better than those of the above clay winners.

I wish Carla would just believe in herself when she is in a final against the top players. She is often underestimated and under-appreciated in the world of power tennis, but she has a beautiful game and can beat anyone, if only she would believe. She had Maria on the ropes several times in the second set but could not put the match away on her serve.

She is one of my favorite players but must get it together mentally if she wants others to take notice during the big events.

Congrats to Maria with her 35th title - but it's close - just before miss three set had won.
A special moment for Maria to win the title for the third time:

Thanks for the tourney updates Hoergren.

I knew the outcome of this one once Serena withdrew; Maria would capitalize as any good competitor or # 2 would and should do.
To echo Colleen's point I really want CSN to start believing in herself when she gets to these finals otherwise folks won't even turn into finals featuring her against a power player. Make no mistake this was an improvement for her taking it to three sets, but I felt like we all knew the final outcome before the match was done.

Congrats to Maria on her win

Onto the French in two weeks:D

Congratulations to Sharapova. Now beat Serena, and win a Slam in an odd-numbered year.
