Kenin v Stosur final!

I watched the Stosur v Golubic match,Sam was leading 5-2 in the 2nd set, then Sam went into UFE mode, went to a t/break which she won, then got her game back in the 3rd set

Stosur d Golubic 26 76(4) 61....it is Sams first final since 2017....long time between drinks lol!

Kenin d Plinkova 76(2) 46 61.

Watching the final between Kenin v Stosur.

Kenin broke Stosur to love and leads 4-2 1st set,Sams fhand and 1st serve letting her down,Renae Stubbs is with Stosur this week,I am not certain if this is going to be a permanent arrangement.
Stosur breaks straight back,Kenin picked up Stosur's bad service game and her ground shots were too short back on serve 4-3,Kenin's coach, her dad, came on court in the break.Good service game from Stosur.4 games all.Kenin saved 4 BPs,finally finding her 1st serve, she needs to lift her 1st serve percentage, good tough hold leads 5-4.
Kenin still struggling on her 1st serve, holds leads 6-5 and Stosur will serve to force a t/breaker for the 1st set.Love service game from Stosur 6 games all.t/break for the 1st set

Closely fought t/break,Kenin making fhand errors at crucial times in the t/break

Stosur 1st set 76(4)

Early break for Kenin and she consolidates the break leads 2-1
Stosur breaks back.showing good variety,Kenin misfiring on 1st and 2nd serves, fhand letting her down.
Kenin gets the vital break, good ROS and bhand winners and breaks Stosur and will serve for the 2nd set 5-4
Despite her first serve not firing and a DF,Kenin holds tough and wins the 2nd set 64.First time she has taken a set off Stosur in their previous meetings.Renae Stubbs on court for Stosur.

We are going the distance in the final.

Kenin really raising her game now and building the momentum she had winning the 2nd set now has a double break in the final set 4-0
Stosur finally gets on the board in the 3rd set,her first serve has gone AWOL,fhand errors keep mounting
Kenin leads 4-1
Stosur finally finds her serve and game too little too late I am afraid
Kenin will serve for the title 5-2

Kenin d Stosur 67(4) 64 62 to win her 3rd title so far this year.

Congratulations Kenin you found a way to win, even though at times your first serve deserted you,you held tough and really turned the game around from the 2nd set,all credit to you.
Sam a good tournament making the final,Kenin too strong in the end.
