It's not a smart move or a good look. He's finished w/ that chapter of his life. He reached the final of 3 big tourney's and winning another slam in the process. Close the book on that and leave it. Now, he opens this can of worms again and will get questioned about it for the duration of the summer HC.

I don't understand why he would bring this guy back. I get he needs a job, but so do a lot of other folks. Find someone else who needs work and will take care of you.
Agreed. Even if they did things with his support, don't bring them back. Give them a big pay off (secretly) and let them go with other players. Just don't bring them back into your own orbit.

It’s wild work to read Sinner rehired the fitness trainer essentially a couple months after serving a ban. I thought Sinner was smarter than that. I guess not. My opinion of him tanked significantly. There are many damn fitness trainers out there.

This is all the more reason for Sinner to select better advisers for his inner circle. Recently un-sacking the man who brought a prohibited substance into the camp shows a lack of sensitivity to the fact that had WADA refused to negotiate, CAS appeal May have gone against him, precipitating a ban from 1-2 years.

Not everyone believes his story, and he’s playing now due to the good grace of others…

I think it was the "mouth", Courier that mentioned in Cinci that Yannik wasn't happy with the new fitness coach. Says his fitness was better w/ the tainted guy and he didn't want to give an inch when having to compete with the rest of the tour. How worse could the new guy be when Yannik was 1 point away from winning RG and then able to overcome an injury during the fortnight at Wimby and go on to win the title?
