As a tangent in the books thread, in the midst of a discussion of an Arthur Ashe biography which Riotbeard informed us will be published in a couple of years, I suggested a film be made of Ashe's life. To portray him, I thought of Chiwetel Ejiofor, a phenomenal actor.

Kieran added "to be honest, there aren't many tennis players worthy of a movie, but Arthur Ashe stands out..."

So, which players do you think deserve a biopic, and who should play them?

I'd say Ashe, or the Williams sisters. They're both tales of inspiration for minorities.

Also, Little Mo was worthy of her movie...

I think Agassi is a good candidate. The early years, being sent away, the rockstar days, drug use and Hollywood connection...I mean, the movie writes itself...Who would play him? Colin Farrell.

Sinead's O'Connor would make a good Agassi...

Yeah, she would go "fight the REAL enemy" and tear a picture of Sampras to pieces...;)
