If she wins the tournament she collects 280 points,she is currently ranked 6th and Sofia Kenin is ranked 5th,she will pass her in the rankings to No 5,that is the only logic I can come up with ....I agree she is mad playing before a Major,after just playing Cinncy.

That is strange logic if that's her reason. A win here will not change the seedings for the USO. The goal should be to get to the last week of the slam. She went to OG and won a medal. Lost R1 in Canada and R1 in Cinci. That's more than enough matches on HC going to USO.
