First set to Rafa!

One more set, and Rafa has sealed the year end No. 1, and his place in the semis.

Stan's backhand is his go-to shot. Two errors in a row?

How did Nadal defend that backhand and get the point? That was the set there...inches...and that's how Stan lost the opportunity to get his first set...Oh my...he stumbled there...what a bad timing.

Rafa snuck one past Stan, and he takes the set! There, Kieran!

He committed a BH error at 5-4 to level it. Then he hit a tremendous BHDTL that Rafa was able to get back and I don't think Stan was ready for the response. Rafa wins that point for 6-5. Then Stan hits another shot that looks like a winner but Rafa gets it back and then passes Stan at the net to take the breaker 7-5

Stan is doing so many things right today, and "so many" is not cutting it against Rafa...you have to do everything right.

Too many 2nd serves. He's moving very well though. The speed of the court is not bothering him today
