there's not a chance Jess is defending even half of those points. She couldn't even get past Lil Bit last week. It only gets harder w/ the rest of the posse back in action this week

I agree, I cant see Jess defending those points

Jasmine Paolini has confirmed a collaboration with Federico Gaio, an active singles player, though he hasnt competed in 16 months, he will be helping Jaz in Monteral, Cinncy and USO
Going 3 sets in the match between Jaz and Ito
Jaz took a toilet break after the 2nd set, hopefully it will clear her head
Jaz broken in her first service game, then broke back straight away, broken again Jaz and her fhand has let her down again in this match, there is no power on Jaz fhand at present she is just slapping at her fhand
Ito leads 3-1 3rd set
Jaz finally finds her fhand which to date has let her down and breaks back, on serve in the 3rd set, Jaz to serve 2-3
Of course as I type Jaz broken 5th break of serve in this match, Ito to serve at 4-3 she has been the better player
Of course there is another break of serve, Ito will be mad at herself she had love 30
Whoever can hold their serve will win the match, though easier said than done the way this match has gone, btw Jazz had MP in the 2nd set and let it slip away
5 games all 3rd set
Too many UFE from Jazz and also not clear on what shot to play?
Ito will serve for the match 6-5
Of course Jaz breaks back and there will be a TB for the 3rd set
A ufe from Jaz fhand which has let her down most of the match, also Jaz had 67 ufe in this match, No Words from me
Ito wins the match 75 26 76(5)

Girl 60+ UFE's, there was no way she was winning that match. Ever since she had that collapse at RG she thinks too much. It's in her head now. She better crawl back to her original coach unless he's working w/ someone else.

I agree
This new coach is just for 3 tournaments
As I said before
Don't break something that was working
Also I know Errani is retiring this year and Jaz is still in the doubles in Monteral, she needs to curtail her doubles play, it is also interfering with her singles play

Gauff was lucky she won the match in 3 sets, 23 DFs is still not acceptable at this level, 74 UFE, Collins did serve for the match, her UFE count was 80? a match I would rather forget
Gauff d Collins 75 46 76(2)
I have said this for some time Coco needs to hire a Bio Mechanic Specialist ASAP and people on social media after her match was saying the same thing, it worked for Saba when she had the worst DF of any player in the tour a few years back and she still works with him to this very say and also helped with her wayward forehand

Who Jess or Jasmine? I saw a lit'l of their matches & the UFE were inexplicable! There was no rhyme or reason for them to look so bad out there! ;-(

I'm confused.
On the US open page, they write, that these 8 pairs are ready for the mix:

On the same page, they have an article about Musetti and Paoline teaming up. Why are they not amongst the directly qualified then? Combined they have better rankings than Bencic and Zverev?

I knew that - it's the exact same as in my post. I just don't get, why Musetti and Paoline isnt' directly qualified because their combined rankings are better than Zverev and Bencic?

Osaka came back from a set down to defeat Samsonova, who was serving for the match and had a 'brain freeze' on an important point with a drop shot she should not have used at that point in the match, broken went to a TB which Osaka won, Samsonova never recovered in the match
Osaka d Samsonova 46 76(6) 63
