Have been reading Steve Tignor's selection on the women's draw he is known as 'the kiss of death' in his selections,hopefully it will come true for Wimbledon in 2021.

Ash Barty (1) to open play on centre court on Tuesday she will play Carla Suarez Navarro,who will be playing her last Wimbledon.
(the bottom half of the ladies singles draw will play on Monday,alongside the top half of the men's singles)

Kvitova vs Stephens will be the second match up on centre court on Monday

Also Venus Williams will play mixed doubles with Aussie Nick Kyrgios.

Here is an interesting page from Universal Tennis Insights. They give the percentage chances for each player to reach various rounds. They claim to have figured this out using simulations. Their percentages are much different from the bookies. For example, they give Serena just 4% chances where she is favorite for the bookies even though by a small margin over Ash. According to them, Garbage second best chance after Ash. Rounding up their top five are Sablenka, Azrenka and Iga.

Johanna Konta has been withdrawn from the singles draw having been a close contact of a positive test for COVID-19.,a member of her team.She is required to spend 10 days in self isolation and will be replaced by LL Yafan Wang. on line 8,will face Katerina Siniakova. ( Bad luck for Konta who won the Nottinghman grass tournament just recently).

I was not impressed with Petra's form in Germany...so to me this is not such a upset.
