I'd bet on the Spurs as well. They haven't played poorly for 2 consecutive games. They always seem to bounce back after a bad performance. Pop will have them ready for tomorrow.

The Bulls team that played last night will beat LBJ , Kyrie and da Cavs in 6 games ..Great win by the Bulls , that's the way you handle your business.

First two games are huge for Chicago. If they get down 2-0 forget about it. I think Bulls will win the series probably in 6, mainly because LBJ, while still great, looks to be past his best. If it was two years ago he could beat the Bulls with Kyrie and a bunch of scrubs no problem.

It will probably be 1-1 when it comes back to the Madhouse. If Bulls don't hold HC for games 3-4, I could see this going 7. They haven't been playing particularly well at home this year.

Clips -Spurs looks like going to the wire, but CP3 is struggling with some issues, maybe his hamstring. Cannot be good if they advance.

Wow...some huge plays are happening here...I am loving this last 5 minutes. Spurs up by 2, little over a minute to go.

13.3 secs left, Clips by 2, Spurs ball.
31 lead changes in this one.

Let's see what Pops will draw here.

The ageless one (Duncan) ties it with two free throws. Tie game. 8.8 seconds, Clipper ball.

Miracle shot from CP3 drops! Clips up by 2, 1.00 secs to go. Spurs ball. This reminds me of the Derek Fisher shot...Is this the last of Duncan we will ever see? Can Spurs manage to get a shot off?

Some happy trigger finger official starts the clock before the inbound pass, pisses everyone off in the building.
No matter...game over, Clips win.

Washington steals home from Atlanta as well...I still want to punch Paul Pierce in the nards, that is another story.

Well I wanted to make predictions for the round before it started. Obviously washington's chances are higher now but I was going to pick them for the "upset" this round if you can call it that. Golden state will also take out Memphis in easy fashion with Conley out. LA-Houston and Cleveland-Chicago should be the good ones this round. If Cleveland and LAC were at full strength they would be the comfortable picks. As it stands I'm going with Houston and the Bulls.

Curry is the MVP. Harden will not be too thrilled with this news. I think it is well deserved.

Well we knew it was between the 2 of them, but Curry has been the most consistent shooter of the two and his team has the best record and overall they are the #1 seed.

Step is my guy and I can understand how Harden would feel a bit passed over. A true mvp shows up in the playoffs which may be James best opportunity to display that he was more deserving. Imo

it was pretty close to a no brainer in the end. Harden can be mad all he wants but it was clearly Curry this year.

I don't know if anyone would agree with this but one thing Harden said did struck a chord with me a tiny bit: He said , and I am paraphrasing, while Curry sat down and watched a lot of fourth quarters because the game was already sealed for GSW, he was out there trying to win close games down the stretch.

Now obviously you cannot blame Curry for being too good for three quarters and having a good team around him and deserving to rest in many a fourth quarter, but I understand Harden's frustration a little bit.

It is still Curry though, no doubt. He was inhuman most year.

I agree with Darth, it was a no-brainer.

On a side note, does anyone else feel the MVP should be voted after the conference finals and before the finals?

Yes, I'm aware it's the regular season MVP but that's my issue with it. Why limit it to that? If it's to give the finals' MVP some prestige, then you just vote before the finals. Because if an MVP dominates the regular season and stinks up the joint in the playoffs, is he really the most valuable player of the league? The playoffs are an extension of the regular season after all.

BS, you might have a point there and it actually ties up a bit to what Harden said: You might be able to be the best during the regular season when most nights you do not even have to play the fourth quarter, but can you do it during play-offs where most likely you will play in the fourth and will have to carry your team. Can you do it when it really matters?

But then again most folks will rather have the regular season and the post season separated. I don't know...

I wouldn't mind if they included postseason in the MVP vote. No team sports do that so far as I know. They could still have a postseason award separately.
