Ana leads the series 6-0

They've met on clay twice, the most recent being a straight setter at Madrid this year. Roland Garros 2008 is Ana's maiden and only slam.

I will go with Svitolina here. She has nothing to lose and Ana while she doesn't have anything to lose may feel the pressure more here.

Ana has a 6-0 h2h against Svitolina. Ana is enjoying her deep run and playing again.
I go with Ana in two.

I think Svitolina will win but I "hope" voted Ana. Im not sure Ana can put the pressure out of her mind.

Im not watching this match but Ana seems to be killing it, then I look at the stats and they're not all that pretty. Is Svolina beating herself?

I had no idea who would win this one, with Ivanovic being so inconsistent this year. But boy howdy is she peaking at the right time! So maybe a Ivanovic-Serena final? Very interesting. It would be a testament to Ivanovic and how she never gave up during her 7-year slump.

Yeah that is like a 180 degree peak going from absolute 0 dud of a season to SF of Roland Garros.

Hooray for Ana - I've been a fan since Zurich back in 2004 when she announced her arrival on the scene in that brilliant match against Venus. She's tough to love - so many disappointing losses, so much talent that seems to have gone unfulfilled over the years - but I am ecstatic to see her in another Slam semifinal.

Hopefully, this is the start of something for Ivanovic, and she doesn't go back to being a functionally stupid player after this result whatever happens from this point forward.
