I m just following live scores at work so no idea how rafa is playing. However, starting from Set 3, rafa seems to do better in his own service games and managed to get some more points in Tomas service games also.

Well aleast rafa is making an adjustment to return his serve .. very foolish to began the match returning service in New Zealand instead of Austrialia

Bird gets a BP...as good as match point this one, the way things are...Rafa erases it with an ace.

Business end of the set...this is where we find out what Bird is made of.

What a great second serve from Berdych. Fair play to him on that one.

That's the assurance of having two sets in the bag. You don't get as tight. Great serving from Berdych in key moments.

Should have put that away before the volley came back.

Today's players just stink at the net! It's like they're afraid to volley; even if they do it well like Nole and Rafa! Ridiculous! I expect that from women, but the guys are just as inept!

He survives. More importantly, Nadal now has to serve to stay in it. Even if he is likely to hold this time, playing better as he is. But Berdych needs to go for it in this game more than he ever has. Though, by that I mean he needs to work the point and measure his shots as he has done so well so far.

I'm sure Nadal and Berdych would say the same about some past players' baseline game.
