Whoever wins, this is a huge opportunity now that Maria has been removed. Looks like we could quite possibly have a new slam winner unless Petra finally gets her act together and wins this.

I don't think Petra could be consistent enough in the final to take out whoever gets through on this side of the draw. The only way I see Petra repeating is if Sabine makes it to the final. Both of them will commit so many errors, it will be survival of the UE fest.

Genie didnt play her best tennis when she defeated Cornet in straight sets,though to her credit she found a way to win.

Kerber has impressed me so far in this tournament.Kerber v Sharapova has to be The Match of The Tournament so far....impressed with Kerber's win
