Any of you math whizzes know about the updated rankings of the top 20 post wimbledon (with the obvious exceptions of Bartoli and Lisicki)?

Hmm. Serena and Vika will lose the most w/ Aga and Maria losing much less. Maybe Hoergren or Kiu will be so inclined to give us the numbers.

^ Thanks, ozza. :)

It must be frustrating for players to win huge tournaments like this, and barely move up the rankings, as would happen with Bartoli.

Bartoli would rise from #15 to #7. That's quite a big jump.

Well it has to be a relief for Bartoli and Lisicki to rise in the rankings to lessen their chances of meeting a top player any earlier.

I allow me to give a few corrections. Maybe the differences occur because Stanford was played this week last year together with Palermo and if it's actual standings you have to get those results away and supply with the 17th result. But nice you bring the rankings - it's always fascinating ;)

I posted them for this Monday Hoergren (look at the date I posted). Those rankings are correct as of right now, post-Wimbledon rankings which is what was asked for (there now up on the WTA website anyway).

I always post with this weeks tournaments out of the ranking - and last year there was an additional in Stanford because of the Olympics. I know that WTA is issueing their notes and netcords and they are not dynamic rankings as I prefer - that's the difference between my numbers and yours - sorry about my mistake. On the other hand you can see how much it's meaning to a couple of players in the rankings - so two birds with one stone - not bad at all ;)

Disappointed Serena will likely be displaced by Pova for year end number one. I wonder whether Pova will play Moscow. If she did, the top rankng would be guaranteed. I would if I were in her shoes.

According to a report I have just read from Kamakshi Tandon which I posted on the Road to Singapore post just now.Maria isn't taking a w/card for Moscow, she is sticking to her original schedule.

I hope Serena can play, and plays her best, to avoid the chaos when Maria takes the #1 WITHOUT SERENA PLAYING. Given the 10/6 Race to Singapore Rankings, if Serena doesn't play, Maria is guaranteed the #1 if she makes the Semi's, even if Petra Wins the YEC undefeated (bonus points).

It is Petra who needs the extra points, which is why Petra is still registered for Moscow. Should Petra win Moscow, we could have an interesting YEC without Serena. But no question, things are always better for the tennis world when healthy Serena is playing her best, the others then have to step up their games.

Best of luck to all the ladies to stay healthy, and play great tennis.

While I would like Serena to play the YEC, she needs to focus on her health and come out in 2015 in the best possible shape ever! The real issue is Serena playing to further solidify her place in tennis history. Maria or Petra can have the number one ranking; we all know who is the "real" number one.

Yeah, it doesn't matter where Serena is ranked if she is going to win she will always win. The other girls can't say the same thing. The thing that sucks is Maria might get the satisfaction of being number 1 without having to go through Serena to get it. I mean Serena has hardware to win, and while I would love for her to be able to defend and keep number 1, she has to do what is best for her career at this point. The silence concerning her knee is a bit unnerving at this point :/.

I think her knee is just sore...remember she had a show at fashion week straight after USA Open..most probably running around and standing up a lot.I think she never wanted to play in China..just went there to fullfil an obligation.
