I'm not giving him a hard time for playing in Lyon. I'm just saying that he's on the cusp of playing 250s for the points, and ruining his chances at Majors. He is a superstar in the making. Different choices will be made for him, and very soon.
I do not think he is chasing points at this stage. He is chasing his first title and exactly these are the type of events where he has better chances to clinch a title, like Lyon.
He should not expect much yet in a slam, where I reiterate, gas no experience whatsoever. Thus he ruinns nothing because he should not expect to go too far in a slam yet. .
Those who expect more than a R3 pr R4 from him are unrealistic IMO.
Best of 5 is a different ball game than best of 3, needs a lot of insurance and experience.

One of the first matches which has started will be quite interesting. Berrettini who had a good spring season meets Andujar, who's best results were on clay. Andujar is ranked a lot lower, but due to his record in the past, this could be a very even match.

Popyrin the Aussie WC through. He may be the next teenager to get to the top 100.

On top of his bad play, big fashion faux pas for Dimi. That shirt is awful. After going up 2 sets to love, he profoundly drops 2 sets to Tipsy and we're heading for a decider.

Well that long layoff has given him a lot of fight. It's admirable.
He was pretty sturdy when he was at his best. I remember him reaching the top 10 and staying in the 8-10 range for more than a year.

Felix withdraws. Groin injuries take a few weeks to get healed. Hopefully by grass season he could be recovered completely.

What a shame playing a small tournament now he can't play RG . Meanwhile Tipsarevic giving a hard work to Dimitrov, which means how bad this last one is playing

Roger’s racing through his match, up 6-2, 4-1 in under 50 minutes.

EDIT: The second I posted that, he got broken. Sonego serving at 2-4 in the second.

It took sometime for Sonego to wake up.
Roger won the first 10 games, now Lorenzo won 3 in a row.

The Roland Garros website is terrible. I don’t see a section for live scores, and the order of play schedules aren’t updated with the scores for completed matches.

Roger’s attire is ugly. Looking at this match, I can see why Roger is one of the very few players in tennis history who are true all-court players. I fear, however, that his physicality will not be enough to take him to the quarterfinals of this tournament.
