Press Conference Med v Alcaraz
This final is not quite as interesting as the women's one.

Daniil should have won a TB after 4:0 lead. He folded there at the end.Really Meddy. How dense does one have to be? There were at least 3 balls that were sitters and he hit right back to his opponent. He couldn't possibly think Red wouldn't put a racquet on something in his wheelhouse. Anyway, Congrats to Red, but we've seen this movie before. Someone knocks one of Alcasin out the tourney and the other ends up winning it.
I think we have to give credit to Jannik he won the last 7 points in the 2nd TB, he never faced a BP, he stayed strong and he had ice in his veins, Meddy made some ufe, I guess that was the pressureDaniil should have won a TB after 4:0 lead. He folded there at the end.
The fall of Stefanos is one of the most baffling things ever. He has way too much talent to be ranked outside the Top 40 in the world, and he really hasn't had a serious injury to explain his decline.Oh please Stefano's is already lost lol his ranking is now top 40
Zverev just hasn't got mental ability to win a grand slam Jannik dusted him off the court today 62 64
Med has being playing good ball of late especially in Dubai and IW
Stef has had back problems over 1 year, he should have taken time off the tour to heal his back even when he had that short stint with Goran Ivanisevic who told him he was very unfit and he must get fit before Goran could continue coaching him? well he didnt like the 'truth' and that didnt coaching arrangement lasted about two weeks I think LOL! also he has done nothing over the years to correct his bhand,,maybe if he had a proper coach, rather than daddy, it could have been corrected, talent can only get you so far in our game, our game today is around 80% mental, which Stef lacks. The fall of Stefanos is one of the most baffling things ever. At least with Zverev and Medvedev, while they will not win slams, they can still make deep runs in tournaments, and still beat a top player every once in a while. Stefanos has just been getting progressively worse for 5 years now, ever since blowing the 2021 French Open final.
You can give credit to Red for some of those points, but not all 7. There were definitely some donations thrown in there.I think we have to give credit to Jannik he won the last 7 points in the 2nd TB, he never faced a BP, he stayed strong and he had ice in his veins, Meddy made some ufe, I guess that was the pressure
I did say in my post that Meddy did have ufe if you read all my post to Don Fabio, still under pressure players often have ufe, which was the case in the 2nd TB.You can give credit to Red for some of those points, but not all 7. There were definitely some donations thrown in there.
I never said he shoulda woulda coulda won.I did say in my post that Meddy did have ufe if you read all my post to Don Fabio, still under pressure players often have ufe, which was the case in the 2nd TB.
Also I dont believe in 'shoulda coulda won, to me that is a 'hypothetical scenario' and dosent deal with the actual facts in any match
I know that but it you look at Don Fabio's post he said Meddy was 4-0 and should have won the 2nd set TB and I was clarifying why I dont believe in ':shoulda woulda coulda' scenario's.I never said he shoulda woulda coulda won.
Poor shot selection by Medvedev hitting the ball stupidly back to Sinner often on big points. 1 or 2 less of those dense moments and the match was his. He always throws in these stupid pusher shots like a clown but I'm very pleased with his level all the same. The match was very winnable though so it's a pity. His backhand is something else and forehand was absolutely brilliant too against Alcaraz and Sinner. Hopefully he keeps this level up.You can give credit to Red for some of those points, but not all 7. There were definitely some donations thrown in there.
