Look at us agreeing on something!

Hamas has been classified as a terrorist organization for over 25 years by the US government. If foreign nationals support them, this climate/government or not, yes, they could easily be deemed a security risk, which is grounds for deportation. All I'm saying is that they deserve their day in court. Their due process.

The issue is rather newer in Europe than in the US. You'd think that, after 9/11, for one thing, we'd have a more efficient system for tracking people. One thing that DOGE might have tried to do, if they were true to their mandate, was update government computer systems, (which are notoriously basically stone age.) and streamline information between agencies. Instead, they just fired a bunch of people, including really competent and experienced ones. But they may yet get to actually making the system more efficient. It's a shame, though, how many good and knowledgeable people they've let go. The problem is much more the system than the people.
That’s about 4 agreements in one day. Stop it! People will start gossiping.. :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

I’m in Madrid now for a wedding, I’m very open to agreement! :lol6:

I might find Tulsi Gabbard irritating but I have to respect her stance on no US military intervention in Iran. But... Trump should fire her. You can't have your people agitating and trying to subvert your authority if you're the President, or any type of leader for that matter
The next 12 days are gonna be rough. If the link below is accurate then Israel are sitting ducks after 12 days and we can only guess what that deranged pos Netanyahu will do. Scary times. Iran appear to be testing something as they've had 2 earthquakes the last few days and I doubt very much these are natural ones. Read about the Samson doctrine. It's Israel's version of the same technology as Russia's. If they sense defeat it launches all their nukes as a scorched earth policy and takes everyone out. If Iran sense Trump and/or Israel are gonna do something bad, they may launch a few of their Fattah ICBMs carrying a tactical nuke and take that shit hole Israel out. Watch some videos of them. Insane shit. Capable of up to Mach 15.

OMG, we might coincide. Or just miss each other. I arrive in Madrid on Wed. Our timing probably not quite as exquisite as when we coincided in Sicily. But maybe that's why we're on the same wavelength. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

agreed re: the Israel dome defence.

I would be remiss if I didn't point out that Trump and Kash Patel redirecting FBI officers away from counter-terrorism to immigration might just bite America in the ass. Sad to say to folks on that side of the water, but what Trump has done might not have made Americans safer. Who doubts that there are Iranian proxies embedded in the US right now. Lord help us! UK is vulnerable too, even if Starmer was not supportive of Israel's actions.

For my part, I'll say it again.. 2 things can be true.. Israel was well within their rights to attack. It's not clear to me that the same applies to Trump assisting. The hypocrisy after all the things he's said about Dubya still stuns me. Let's see if he's able to disentangle himself from this. Follow HW... not Dubya.. for all our sakes

Israel were not within their rights to attack. Unlike the Russia v Ukraine lies from the media calling that conflict unprovoked, THIS attack by Israel was 100% unprovoked. They killed the Iranian nuclear negotiator ffs. What a horrible fucking nation Israel are. Watch the video I posted above to see Israel for their true colours which most of us can see anyway. Children murdering scum. This is 2003 Bush and Blair lies all over again. Warmongering US pos will will never learn. Iran don't have nukes but they'll damn well get them now and hopefully soon. The audacity of it all is laughable. When they have loons like Israel right next to them and the US, UK, France etc all with nukes, it's utterly laughable to say "hey we can have them but you can't".

Iranian/Persian people are very welcoming, friendly people. There are large Persian communities worldwide where they get on perfectly fine with jews. The problem is that shit hole Israel and they have the US by the balls as Trump is apparently in the Epstein files for banging kids so he'll do whatever they ask. All the politicians supporting Israel are compromised and hence the support for them. It's not normal for so many people to support the barbaric killing of children and innocent civilians on the scale these disgusting people condone, so they're clearly compromised.

As for this disgusting warmongering pos, nice that she mentioned nothing about the US bombing. It's a complete joke that she was re-elected. She should be in jail or hung in public.

As for that weasel Starmer "if iran attacks US personnel we will consider it an attack on a NATO country". No, Starmer, you dumb fuck, it's called self defense! You hardly expect them to just roll over now, do you ? The very same laughable bs from Netanyahu. We're allowed attack you but don't you dare attack us. What kind of delusional fucktards are these people ?

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one mate. Iran has been using its proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah for decades to attack Israel. And its leaders regularly state publicly that they want to obliterate Israel. Some could say that such statements are just rhetoric, but that's contradicted by the constant attacks by Irans proxies on the state of Israel. Let's not forget October 7th. Let me be clear, do I agree with Israel's attack? No! But perhaps not for the reason you might expect. I think that Bibi will do anything to stay in power. It's the only way he can guarantee that he won't end up in jail for corruption. But I do believe the threat is REAL from Iran. If another Israeli PM had done it, it would be less problematic to me. Since October 7th Israel has destroyed both Hamas and Hezbollah, leaving Iran vulnerable and less able to counter-attack. If ever there was a time for Israel to prosecute a war against Iran it would be now.

Regarding the Palestinians. The leaders don't want peace. They had it all locked up under Clinton. But at the last moment Arafat realised that if he signed he was a dead man. You know the Palestinian cause is doomed when every single Arabic country in the region wants nothing to do with them. Egyptians don't want them and actively place more effective blockades against them than the Israelis do. The Jordanians loathe them and fear the huge population of them that have tried more than once to overthrow their own government. Same with the Saudis and Gulf states. The Iranians use them as proxies to fight the Saudis and other Sunni countries.

Personally I would wish for a two state solution but the reality is that dream is dead. As Arafat was running away from that agreement (that would have given them autonomy and a State), the Soviet Union was falling apart and Soviet Jews were coming in droves to Israel. Before that, Israel was a 50-50 state. It's now a 65-35 state. Too many new citizens, too little land. Kiss the dream of a two state solution goodbye. Not unless all the Arab states (that now want to be friends with Israel by the way, the only real Trump success of his first term) get together and administer some sort of Palestinian conclave in the West Bank and Gaza.

If any other country had to put up with what the Israelis have to, they would do exactly the same thing. Don't kid yourself

Exactly. This is one of those issues where the far left and the woke right agree, and so their “concerns” can be dismissed with little thought. They push so many bad ideas and mad characters, they’re basically a meme at this point…

This is a fascinating, almost cinematic commentary on the modern left at an ICE protest in New York, and their absolute moral confusion and hypocrisy. I admire the young man in this video so much for his ability to withstand the most mobminded cowards, fifth columnists and imbeciles with good grace.

Cliche alert! But that’s how they speak.

Lasts about 7’ 24”..

That’s it, and it’s because there is no meaning, just banal buzz words, catchy phrases, empty slogans. I don’t think these people think at all!

Here it is…

Seriously, WTF is that in real terms? She not only parroted a simple word that she didn’t actually understand, but she blubs and leaves soon as she’s asked a simple question? Questions really are Violence! :lulz1:

The Supreme Court has upheld Trump's right to gut the Department of Education. That tells you a lot about his packed court, and about his agenda.

Glad Trump has flipped to supporting Ukraine. Apparently he even asked Zelensky why he hasn’t bombed Moscow. Shows what a p*ssy Biden was. Never forgave him for sabotaging the counteroffensive a few years back. Biden was willing to see Ukraine lose by attrition rather than actually defeating Russia

I can't help reflecting on my concerns regarding the Trump election. I was worried about what would happen Ukraine, concerned about NATO. Worried that Trump would enable Bibi. Well here we are.

  • Trump has finally had enough of Russia. Putin's disrespect and dismissal of Trump's desire for the war to end. Medvedev's mockery of Trump and nuclear sabre rattling. I don't think Trump will flip back. This has become personal for him now. Don't provoke a sociopath. I think Putin and Medvedev have badly miscalculated

  • All that has led to increasing support for Ukraine, and the Europeans have shown they're absolutely serious about taking more control of their own military interests (something that America will probably regret).

  • Bibi managed to goad Trump into bombing Iran, something that could blow back to the US in the long term, who knows. But the increasing clamour for a Palestinian State could end up being a disaster for Israeli right wingers. They want that land. I doubt they'll be able to get it. We shall see

But all of this makes me reflect... if I knew before the election that this was what the foreign policy outcomes would be, I would probably have hoped that the orange one would win the election. Can't believe I'm saying this. But the reality is I don't believe Kamala would have done better for Ukraine than this. In fact I think that there was a chance that Putin would have tried to test NATO with a direct confrontation because he would never have believed she would have the stones to stand up to him. At worst I find it hard to believe that she would have been more aggressive than Biden, who sabotaged the Ukrainian counter offensive, allowing innocents to be slaughtered. I'm so disgusted by that. I don't think she would have been any better.

So yes, on reflection, this might end up being the better outcome. It's not a certain thing though... the tariffs are an abomination that will be a long term disaster for America. The fiscal package is a disaster for America. Some things she would have done better. Although immigration would most definitely have continued to be a disaster. If only the left in America would come over to London and see what a shit show it is here with all this islamophobia nonsense (if you're concerned about the things that Muslims are allowed to do here the police can get in your business, but Muslims can protest about Christianity with no replicable sanctions, make it make sense!) they would understand that unfettered immigration has consequences.

PS, I'm extremely concerned that at the same time that Trump might just be making a huge mistake with China and Taiwan, so I reserve the right to change my view on this! :face-with-tears-of-joy:Although I do believe that the lessons from the Russia-Ukraine War and the ousting of Xi from power have set back any timelines (barring utter recklessness and miscalculation... remember WW1?)
