You're kind of all over the place with this, huh? You don't want Alcaraz to get to ahead of himself, or, god forbid, be compared to Fedal. News flash...he and Sinner both are being compared to ATGs. Is this bad? No, it's not. And, at the same time, you say you're on board with Alcaraz. It's rather difficult to see if you're happy with Alcaraz's success, or ready to be your usual contrarian self about it. Which is it? You've been calling for youngsters to come up, or were, until you got so enamored of Novak.
As to Sinner, and luck, you can only deal with what you are presented with. As to that QF v. Dimitrov, I will say again, that guy has been a folder at important moments his whole career. He might well have continued to play the match of his life, certainly on grass, or, Sinner might have fought him all the way back, which is NOT out of the realm of possibility. We'll never know, because Grigor's body ended the match. Which is also a function of being 34. We were barely into the 3rd set, so who knows how it would have played out.
Sinner survived to get to the SF, and played by far the better match today, and deserves the championship title.
