Carlito better be careful and take the start of sets seriously

I'm feeling like I did in Paris. If Carlos pulls this off again then shame on me!

anyone else get the impression that Paris is on Sinner's mind. He ain't letting this one go. Probably best for tennis to be honest. Carlos will embarrass me now!

Sinner HAS to win this now surely! That 2nd serve was right up there

I think the tale of the tape is the absolute disdain Sinner has had for the Alcaraz serve

OMG Jannik did it
Well done young man I picked you in 4 sets to win I was quietly confident I always thought his game suited on grass
Shout out to Carlos, I am also a huge fan

Sinner does it! Good for him. Not a great day for Carlitos, but very solid from Jannik. Probably better for the rivalry, this way.

Well, a bit surprising. Not too surprising, but a bit. This is really good for Sinner and "kills the ghost" before it gains too much life.

For Carlos, I think he'll shrug it off - I don't think he "needed" to win this as much as Sinner did, and if anything, it will prime him more for the US Open.

Anyhow, it is so great to have two young greats - after that decade or so in which it seemed like tennis talent was fading. These guys are both amazing.

Also, Carlos finally loses in a Slam final. It was inevitable, but still. Slam finals:

Alcaraz: 5-1
Sinner: 4-1

Their only losses are to each other.

Another stat: Sinner joined Djokovic, Federer, Sampras, Lendl, and Borg as the only players to have consecutive multi-Slam seasons.
