I think with Identity politics the seductive part is that it’s simplistic: if we deal with groups, merely, and deny the individuality of everybody within the group, it’s a shortcut to making a bigger plan work: the bigger plan being to treat everybody the same. By disregarding that they’re actually not all the same?

But when we add in the other feature of undying Marxism, that if inequality is caused by oppression, then therefore the actions of successful people are evidence if oppression, and the ones who aren’t successful are obviously oppressed, according to the equation, and…uh..wuh…I’ve got a headache trying to think about it.

Minorities can’t be racist because of power dynamics? Is that it? And women can’t be violent towards men, because women are oppressed? And men are oppressers? Therefore any violence by women on men…is men’s fault?!
well.. not so much fault, but they'll claim they're justified. A minority can be racist, it goes, because they're oppressed, therefore their racism is justified. The supreme irony of course is that the very people who claim to be oppressed, will resist with all their might when you the oppressor make generalisations about their identity group. No! They'll say, you're being misgynist, or racist, or whatever other -ism. You see, you're NOT allowed to generalise about them. Even if their entire philosophy requires them to generalise about you. Make it make sense!

Not a joke, unfortunately. I don’t know why there has been such a fetish for allowing so much immigration into Western Europe, especially from countries which are, let’s say, “troubled.”

But you’re right, they’re treated differently, and the indigenous folk are bigots for even wondering WTF is going on.

Here’s our former and soon again to be a Taoiseach (prime minister) giving a wholly vacuous and inconsiderate reply to the question of why a man from Guyana with multiple convictions for rape and imprisonment in the UK was allowed to enter our country, and falsely imprison and rape a woman.

His answer is the text book “I couldn’t give a f**k” reply of politicians everywhere.

This is the UK folks.. it’s real.

It’s crazy. When people disagree, they’re far right. It’s a labelling device to marginalise them as Nazis. You often see it on Question Time, and they’ll introduce the panel like, “our panel tonight is, Danny Smudge, who writes for the Guardian, Dame Selina Poshtottie, editor at the Red Flag, Basil Ratface, actor and activist, not necessarily in that order!, and Douglas Murray, right wing commentator who doesn’t agree with us and so don’t say you haven’t been warned..”

They feel they don’t have to warn us about the left wingers, because they’re a default, somehow..

^I tell you mate it's got to the point now that I take any -ism thrown against me as a badge of honour. Not because I believe it. But it tells me I'm not one of the labellers! It's weak, it's herd mentality. I've always loathed those who like to lose themselves in the crowd, cowards...
