I watched Bianca Andreescu playing in RG qualifying apparently she did use her PR, probably thought she needed more match play, anyway in her first match she gave Yao a double bagel

WTA500 Strasbourg,
Results round of 16 matches,

Paula Badosa wins via retirement as Bouzkova retired at 3 games all 1st set.
Badosa said she is finally playing pain free, ( she has a ongoing back problem) and hopes to get back to the level she was playing before she had to withdraw in previously in tournaments.
Rybakina (4) with a straight sets win over X.Wang, Elina needs to get some matches on the clay before RG
Samsonova (8) d Parry 64 64

It has been a rainy day at Roland Garros in the qualifying matches had to been cancelled on Susan Leglen
Sad to say Bianca Andreescu is out of RG this year in her 2nd match, she was defeated by Japanese player Hibino, who played the bigger points better
Hibino d Andreescu 26 76(5) 74 Bianca was up 5-3 in the 2nd set and had MP and then?

Without seeing the draw for Roland Garros which is tomorrow 22nd May at 2pm, the draw will be broadcast live on the Roland Garros You Tube channel
My contenders are in no order,
Sabalenka, Gauff, Swiatek ( depending on her draw at No 5) Andreeva, Paolini and Zheng

Surprise Surprise!
Emma Raucanu received a wild card into Berlin ( grass)
You have to laugh I mean this is just Beyond Riduclous
BTW when Emma had to take a bathroom break being down against Collins, in Strasbourg, she told the press after she has had continuing 'back spasms" for some time????
Emma should hook up with Male Version of Excuses Zverev, they would make a Great Couple!

Jess should not have played this week. I know why she did it. She doesn't like to practice. She doesn't have the doubs to replace it so instead of going to RG and preparing for surface and environment change, she stupidly decides to play Strasbourg where she goes out early.

Newsflash: She'll still have to practice the rest of the week until she plays her opening match. :slap:

@don_fabio Today's results got me to thinking about one slam wonders. Who on this list will add to their tally and who will forever be known as one slam wonder?

Osta
Scone
Kenin
Radacanu
Elena
Vondrousova
Coco
Keys

I'd say the same, Coco and Keys.

While Elena has the game, mentally she is not there. Maybe she will turn it around at some point, but she's not convincing anyone right now.

I'd say Coco is really the only sure thing to get another slam. Keys is 30, so if she's going to get a 2nd, it's going to come soon or never at all. Elena, Vondrousova, and Osta all have the potential to pull a Krejcikova at any moment, and win a second. Kenin is a one-year wonder, while Raducanu is a one-tournament wonder. Scone is basically retired.
