It is 30th GS final for Roger and if he wins it is 20th GS win.

I kinda want to see Federer win in an exciting "on the edge of your seat" five setter. I'd be okay with Federer in an easy three, though.

It's funny, for some reason I thought his loss in the USO was a straight setter. Sure felt like it!

I went for Roger in 4 sets. It will be a very tough match for Roger because Cilic got better as the tournament progressed. I remember he was almost eliminated in the first round.

This match will be crazy. Both are in good form. And this will be like a good game. Can't believe this legend is in yet another grand slam final. He played amazing today and I think he'll repeat that.

I am a bit tensed too. But, Roger's doing well, so yeah baby, all positive abt it.

If the US Open Cilic with revenge in his mind shows up, he wins in 4. I have never seen Roger that helpless ever. Roger cannot keep up with that Cilic at the baseline and Cilic did not let him play first strike tennis either.
If Cilic plays normal human tennis and Roger can attack, Roger wins in 3. I hope that is the case.

Don't forget that Roger had just played a 5 setter against Monfils in humid conditions. The fact that he even had to come from 2 sets down against Monfils shows where his form was at. While I fear Cilic, I can't conceive of him playing at a level which will result in victory for him, when Roger looks in top shape. The way he played Berdych is the template for me. I think Marin is a bit better than Tomas, but not by much. This Federer will give him a rough time in my view...

I hope you are right. That US Open match scarred me for life though...Tired or not, in form or not, Roger tried everything in the book that day, nothing worked.

I hear you mate! It messed up my mind as well. Never liked to see Cilic across the net after that. But the thing is... Roger is playing well here. If Cilic is able to win this one, then wow..

Well, the big question is whether Roger will be able to raise his game. He hasn't really been challenged in this tournament yet. He won't play like he did vs. Chung, which was just an easy glide. Cilic will attack and attack again, and it will be harder for Roger to relax like he did vs. Chung.

But there's no reason to think that Roger can't meet the challenge. I think he'll win it in 3 or 4 sets.

Fed should & will win this match. Could it be a tough match sure but Fed has played within himself beautifully in this tournament. He looks relaxed his movement looks great his ball striking is fine hoping his serve will be what he needs to be and his ROS when he gets Cilic's second serves will be there. Plus if his backhand down the line is working well I'll be very happy. He has used as little energy as possible so far and will be ready to go 5 sets if he has to. I like his chances. LoL

this could be a dangerous match for fed. if their world tour match is anything to go by, then first 2 sets will be important. as long as fed is serving well and hitting well from both wings im not too worried and i don't think fed has ever played a shitty slam final so hopefully he doesnt start now.

As Roger said at Wimbldeon - he's had those. He's okay with NOT having more of them...

Personally I'd like to see Roger bring the A+ game and do a mic drop, but it'll probably be a close 3 or 4 sets. It would be cool if he won in 3 sets because then he'd have not lost a set in his last 2 Slam wins.
