Tournament:

The Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest University moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 2011. An ATP World Tour 250 event, the Winston-Salem Open is the last men's tournament on the Emirates Airline US Open Series prior to the US Open. Held at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex, a newly designed, state-of-the-art tennis facility, it shares the grounds with Wake Forest Athletics.

About Winston-Salem:

Winston-Salem is a center for fine arts and theatre, technology, and is historically linked to the tobacco industry, and a furniture center in the US.

Surpising that Isner is not playing here (especially considering he did not even go deep in the Masters and this is his hometown tourney). Also, surprising that there are only two seeded Americans, despite there being 16 seeds here.

Sir Andy'll need some time to be in top form again, I remember when Nalby came back after his hip surgery, he lost a lot of times before winning a match

Berdy lost to Krajinovic in 3. He's ranked 101 now...will he get a WC to the USO? Shapo beat Sandgren in straights. Rublev dropped the first set to Ramos Viñolas, which is unlikely to make the Fed fans happy.

Denis beat Tennys, but Kecmanovic beat Popyrin before that, so the two winners will play next.

Lee Duck-hee is the first deaf tennis player to win a match at ATP level. Congrats to him!

I hadn't read about him, so thanks for pointing him out. (At first I wrote "I hadn't heard about him")

If anyone is interested, you can learn more about him on Wikipedia and the ATP site.
