..and Nole gets the set with a nice DTL backhand return winner. Radek had his chances when he had 2 BPs himself . Entertaining match so far. When styles are different, it is more enjoyable to watch for me.

That's why I enjoy Stepanek. No one is quite like him.

True...and that is the reason my least favorite match up between the top 4 is Nole-Andy. Maybe if I had a horse in that race it would be different but right now, I have a hard time enjoying that one.

It is only the second set and Tomic looks gassed. Even if he goes up 2-0, I am not counting Bird out.

Third set TB for Bird and Tom. Apparently the trainer came out for Bird and gave him some tablets for something or the other...

Easy power from Bird gets him up 6-2 in the TB. And he closes the set with an ace.

Radek up 6-5 in the TB, serving to take the third set...and he does. Major props to him. He could have easily rolled over after the first 2 sets. He did not.

Bird is serving for it, up 5-1 in the 4rth. , and closes it out.

Win or lose, totally impressed by Radek here. He has a BP at 5-5 but Nole runs a dropper down and wins the point. Awesome match.

Unlucky call for Radek but amazing sportsmanship from Nole to give the point to Radek. He did not have to.
