You didn’t dispute it, you said violence is down. If it’s down from a high, that can still be high. There’s no acceptable number of gang shootings that means violence isn’ta problem, anywhere.

When you say “supposedly attacking ICE agents” are you really saying “mainly peaceful violent attacks on ICE agents?”

The reference is me, come on, keep up. :lulz1:

You have the worst most stupid “activists” who are plainly against anything and everything that smells of white supremacist cis white male privilege toxic masculinity western colonial oppression of……….whatever fad is in fashion.

They are permanent activists, and they do not care about the issues they say they are against. They simply are AGAINST. Against anything western and making our societies the most free and successful in history.
I guess you missed the part when I said that Chicago has the lowest murder rate since 1960s. That's not just a relative comparison to "lower than really high." But, even if that were true, and it were really about crime, why would Trump send his troops into the most crime-ridden cities in America, and not just the "blue" ones? Because that's not the reason.

Also, clearly you didn't read the article I provided or watch the video. Doesn't seem like ICE agents were attacked, though they did come out in force to arrest a protester. See if you can play that video imbedded in the article.

You are still missing the really threat here, which is Trump using (and abusing) the power of his office to go after actual Americans, particularly ones who didn't vote for him.
Yeah, I watched the video where he hedged his bets. He know what signal that phrase sends, and he refused to condemn it.

And he’s a socialist.

Are you not worried?
You could also say that he answered the question he wanted to, which plenty of politicians do, rather than get sucked into a debate over a phrase he'd rather distance himself from. He doesn't use it.

Not worried about him.

Hey, you must have slept through the previous administration. This what partisan politics looks like. When your bloke was doing it, it was for the good of the people. Not that he was too aware of what he was doing.

If a republican crawled through hoops to refuse to condemn Nazi* rhetoric, would you be so polite? Or would you think that he was quietly in agreement with them?

*I'm referring to actual Nazis, not the modern-day imagined ones...

This is not partisan politics as usual. This is a President overstepping the bounds of what is reasonable and democratic. The lower courts tell him he can't do it. The law says that US troops can't be used for local law enforcement. He does it anyway. I'm astonished that you can't see the difference.

How about I give you an actual example: At the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA, in August 2017, during Trump's presidency, various white sumpremacist groups staged a rally, and chanted "The Jews will not replace us," amongst other things. There were several far-right white nationalist and neo-Nazi groups represented, also chanting racist slogans. There was also a counter-protest. A self-proclaimed white sumpremacist drove his car into the counter-protesters, killing one woman, and wounding 35 other people. He was eventually convicted of murder and other crimes.

Trump, at the time, did say that there were fine people on both sides. He did condemn the worst of it, and bigotry, but made a moral equivalence of a hate rally, and those who protested against it. This was mealy-mouthed in the face of actual hate-speech, and far too limp a response when a person was actually killed.

Mamdani simply refused the engage with a phrase he does not use. In a complete theoretical. It's different.

I don't think Mamdani has a secret socialist or Islamist agenda for running New York. I think he plans to try to help the New Yorkers who need help, and try to equalize the incredible wealth gap in this city. Let the rich people pay more in taxes, to pay for better schools and low-income housing. Someone has to work to support the rich, so they deserve to live in reasonable conditions. We also have world-renowned hospitals here. Not everyone makes a surgeons pay. Nurses and technicians and receptionists need to be able to live here, too, to support it. We also have a thriving arts and film industry. If people can't afford to live here, we'll have less of one, because they will move away. That would very negatively affect our economy. I could go on, but you get the idea. I don't agree with everything that Mamdani proposes, but it won't all pass through city council, anyway. He will surround himself with experienced and reasonable people, and we'll be fine. Some of what he hopes for, and what we vote him in for, will make the city better. Most of it will be business as usual. But he has better ideas than the other options.

He did condemn the worst of it, and bigotry

That’s right, he did, and most reasonable leftists accept that he was deliberately misinterpreted by the left wing media to have sided with the bigots.

Oh by the way, you do realise that at every democrat party rally you have a room that’s infiltrated and overrun by bigots, racists, and prejudice of all sorts? They use innovative terms to attack White people, straight people and anyone thinks a cock only dangles from a man. They attack feminists. They attack your law enforcement officers and, well, I could go on and on but my coffee is getting cold. :)

He didn’t, and it isn’t different. He refused to condemn a phrase that broadly hints to the notion that attacking Jews globally is needed. I see that his political party has condemned the ceasefire in Palestine.

He’s trouble, but your party have been leaning towards crazies and fifth columnists for years…

I’ve never been to a Wimbledon Final either. But do you have to be at something to know about it? Are you trying to say that the people who want to mutilate young girls and castrate little boys are never at Democrats conventions? What about the people who made up the bigoted terminology of white privilege, toxic masculinity, cisgender etc, they don’t attend? They don’t vote democrat? I’m sure they do..

lol! Topical…

Sweden is in the toilet, about to be flushed. The right wing party will hopefully put the foot down and tough on this shit. Sometimes you need adults in the room, taking responsibility, like adults..

I think I've finally figured out why Trump keeps trying to get Ukraine to give up it's lands. It's not because he's Putin's stooge. It's more... Trumpian than that. Remember before the 2016 elections when one of the Trump sons, I want to say Eric... let slip that the Trump business had been making a lot of money from Russian patrons? I think the Russian sanctions are a serious financial obstacle for them. Sociopath that Trump is, he doesn't care about the kidnapped children, the genocide, the illegal annexation of Ukrainian lands. He just wants the war over so that Russia can get taken off the sanctions list and he can get back to business. What an absolute C U Next Tuesday. I honestly think it's that simple!

I think this guy is largely correct.

To me it’s similar to all these feminist activists claiming misogyny is on the rise but everywhere you look you see people saying men are dangerous, boys are toxic, women saying they’ll abort their child if it’s male, or even flat out saying men should be killed or are trash. Really? Sounds more like mainstreaming misandry!

There is a shocking amount of racism against whites at the moment. The cultural marxism that claims that because whites are at the top of the hierarchy they can be abused is utterly absurd!

Don't say, "these people," when it's "this woman." I don't know why you waste your time with either of the people in this video. A woman sitting in her car, dissing a guy in her coffee shop who has an opinion she tells him he shouldn't hold; and a guy with a microphone on the internet who doesn't know the difference between "principles" and "principalities." And he stretches it straight to no one giving Trump credit for the deal in the Middle East. THAT's a leap. Please try to distinguish between what most people think, and what any given Tom, Dick or Karen has to say on the internet, which is open to everyone.

Trump just bulldozed the East Wing of the White House. To build his ballroom. He said he wouldn't, and then he did.

It seems symbolic of what he's doing to everything: our laws, our norms and our Constitution.

Because “this woman” represents “these people” who are commonplace in the modern west. They’re the zombie parasites who have eaten the body of liberalism and turned it into an intolerant, smug, totalitarian machine. And they still don’t know why they lost the election.

We have creatures like this in Ireland too. Can’t talk to them, because they don’t interrogate their own beliefs, they just parrot leftist talking points and then skip to name calling…
