They need to start these semifinals earlier. 4 pm ET would probably work better. There is no reason for this to go on well past midnight ET, and competing against the opening night NFL game.

Phil can you post the sfs and finals up further none saw them and people were posting on the wrong posts

Top seeds Siniakova/Townsend vs Dabrowski/Routliffe (3)
A decent crowd for the doubles final, maybe having Taylor Townsend has helped in that regard, Gaby has sunglasses on to stop the glare, she reminds me of Aussie Sam Stosur who used to play in sunglasses and had a sponsor in Oakley Sunglasses, I tried playing once in sunglasses though seeing my face was hot and sticky they kept slipping,.though these days they have special clips behind both ears to make them stick, still I would find that annoying.
Erin and Gaby broke, but Taylor and Katerina just broke back, Erin not making first serves, No 1 seeds serving 4-5
Broken again and Gaby and Erin win the 1st set 64
Gaby has taken off her sunglasses in the 2nd set
Erin and Gabby broke early in the 2nd set and have consolidated their lead 3-0, presently they look to be in control of this match,the No 1 seeds are still in the match, though they cannot have any more lapses in concentration and they need to both have good service games, starting from Now!
A DF hands the break to the No 1 seeds, back on serve, in the 2nd set 2-3, Taylor has started to play better.
3 games all 2nd set, a much better service game from Taylor
Great hands from Katerina in that exchange from the baseline
Tough hold from Katerina, saving BPs
4 games all 2nd set, this is really a great level of a doubles match!
Sad to say Taylor Townsend was the weak link in this match, too many DFs and also got passed at the net
No 3 seeds Dabrownski/ Routliffe d No 1 seeds of Siniakova / Townsend 64 64
Gaby and Erin were the better team today and this is their 2nd GS doubles title together ( they won the USO doubles title in 2023 )
Well done! they will be taking home a cheque of $ 1 million dollars
