Considering that Agilut was injured the last few weeks, this is not a shocking one.

This is very surprising on multiple counts:
1. Lorenzi is ranked 94, Edmund 16
2. Lorenzi is clay courter, Kyle is mainly HC
3. Lorenzi is 36y old and on his way down, Edmund is 23 and on his way up.

I don't mind that you call it an upset, but having watched both play recent months, I saw them pretty even.

OCO, he's definitely styling like Fed! Put a bag over their heads, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart hitting against a backboard! The problem is Grigor hasn't taken that next step beyond just looking like his idol, he doesn't play the proper shot at crucial times! I still shrink in horror thinking about a loss he had against Murray in a Masters a few years ago; probably Cincy with Dimitrov being 2 points away several times and double breaks in 2 of the 3 sets! He was playing out of his mind to get his lead, but when it got to the end, he couldn't close the deal missing the simplest of shots! Murray knew with this generation of players, there's always a chance they'll give it to you and it happens all too often! Heaven knows the record book will look ridiculous with 4 players owning the tour for well over a decade! I had high hopes for Grigor and you see flashes of it winning his 1st Masters last season and actually taking the YEC; sans Nole, Stan, & Andy! Nadal even WD after his 1st round match! The RB will still include his name up with Djokovic, Federer, & Murray! I thought he'd arrive, but he's been really unlucky to get a resurgent Stan in consecutive matches losses! That'll stunt Dimitrov and he probably won't be able to defend his YEC title! Sharapova ruined him! :whistle:

Sort of reminds me of the story of George Best. Best was a soccer legend who retired early after a life of excess.

Best, who dated three or four Miss Worlds apparently went to the races with one of them and won a few thousand on the horses. They went back to the hotel room and started counting the cash on the bed. The room service waiter arrived with the champagne... looked at the champagne, the money on the bed and Miss World... and asked Best "Where did it all go wrong?"
