It is truly sad that in the United States and the Western world generally, this sordid affair is as under-discussed and under-analyzed as it is. It truly was one of the most awful moments in human history. But it has been brushed aside, even after the splendid work of Robert Conquest (Hoover Institution at Stanford) exposed it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Of course, the media and education establishments have to suppress the truth about this, because it makes so many of their historical and political ideas look silly.
