Agree, Cerundolo and Etchevery are the ones who disappointed me the most and destroyed my draw. Baez was also 2 sets up and still lost.

Definitely tought Etchevery could pull an upset or at least make it hard for Tsitsipas.
Destroyed my draw, too! We were all wondering why he even went to Geneva last week. Was that so hard to see? Side note on Argentines: I keep pulling for Comesaña, but he betrays me. Etcheverry was a disappointment, too, though I saw little of that match. I thought that was a tough 1st round draw for the Greek.

He may be a great player but not for one moment could I align his energy with the goodness of the Universe. Besides, I don't enjoy people who use negative inspiration to push themselves.

Meddy crashed and burned against Norrie of all folk. :slap:
Norrie's been playing well, and Medvedev hasn't. I don't think that's a shock. That's why I got up so early. And it DID go 5.

I mean, Medvedev has never been a good player on clay. I'm not surprised he lost his first match at the French Open. I mean, even when he was at his best, he lost early at the FO more often than not. Quite frankly, I would have been more surprised if Medvedev made a deep run.

I agree to an extent, but he did serve for the match today and really imploded.

Just watching the third set of Fonseca-Hurkacz. Fonzie looks great - very dominant, like an elite player who has that quality specific to elites that the match is on his racket. He looks the best I've seen him since early in the year - maybe better. He's using the whole court, hitting all kinds of shots. His game looks more varied than before, but I could be imagining things.

Hubbie got served an early exit. Another victim of overplaying just before the GS. Good confidence booster for Fonseca, I think he needed it.
