Nice win from Milos. Always helps to get one under the belt in straights.

Very seldom you see Roger let a ball like that and it is in...I thought it was miles out.

Nick was up a break in the second but gave it back straight away. Milos was too clutch at the end of it.

This could be a tricky 1st round match for Fed

Hi, AP.

What makes you think this could be tricky? Seems straightforward so far.

It was a quick first glance, now as the set has progressed, this guy isn't consistently keeping the ball in play. So you are correct, pretty straightforward. Btw, I thought the Voice, Nunei only does WTA matches these days

He does some men's matches, but not many, and I think only at Slams (not the regular ATP tour). He is distinctive, that's for sure!

Yes. At the slams both tours share the umpires. Besides, he's French and he's local.

RBA up 2 sets on the Doctor

That's Pablo Carreno Busta, actually, but Youzhny looks poised to take the 3rd.

Thanks. I frequently confuse them. Two sets all now. Heading to the decider

And we have our first five-setter, ladies and gentlemen, as Dr. Youzhny tries to come back from two sets down.

Man, how annoying is this? I woke up this morning before my wife and girls, hoping to see some good tennis. I turn on the tube and the Tennis channel is playing the Dusseldorf Open and ESPN2 has Venus Williams vs. Bencic. No offense, but who cares? Why are they playing that over Federer or Youzhny vs. Carreno or Milos?

Roger cruising but he does not look too happy. Missing the kids already?

Try ESPN online:

I know that's not ideal, but at least you'll get to see him.

Tons of positives from Roger. Good serving, good volleys. And a qualifier awaits in the second round... But I am not happy with the Clay Warrior Junior.:snigger

Pam: Roger, how has your routine changed as you come into this major w/ 4 kids?
Fed: Well Pam, it's not too bad. They sleep alot, they don't take up much space or move around so it's nice and relaxing right now. :laydownlaughing

Now Stepanek is trying to come back after losing the first 2 sets. The tournament is only a couple of hours old, and we already have 2 five setters.

Raise your hand if you think RG has had more five setters than any other GS in the Open Era. [My hand is raised, BTW.] Does anyone know for sure?

It does feel like clay gives you more opportunities to turn things around. The serves are not as potent and easier to break. I don't have numbers but I would not be surprised if RG has the most 5 setters.

Sorry Ana Ivanovic, I may have a new tennis crush in Alize Lim.

Oh wait, this is the ATP...
