Let's get this straight: Obama enacted DACA a few years ago as what he referred to as a "temporary" measure to provide protected status for children in the USA illegally. He did not provide them with a path to citizenship but simply legal protected status for a period of time until further legislation could be passed.
6 years later, Trump makes a proposal that is to the left of Obama with regard to the dreamers. Unlike Obama, he offers them a full path to citizenship, which Obama never did. But in exchange, he would like the federal government to finally, once and for all, fund a border barrier that will secure the border between the U.S. and Mexico and end the illegal immigration problem.
In response to Trump making a more left-wing proposal on the dreamers than Obama did (i.e. legalizing 1.8 million), the Democrats call his proposal a "white supremacist ransom note" and (in the case of Pelosi) "a plan to make America white again." Lol.
Folks - this is not logic. This is not consistency. This is outright hysteria and stupidity, as well as partisanship and bigotry. All from the morons of the Democratic Party.
