@Moxie I didn't see this before but your post above inspired me to attempt to write a song about birds too. In fact I feel the need to challenge myself now as I write songs sometimes & I've already got 2 long pieces on the go. Song-writing takes longer than writing normal poems or stories as I also have to work out what type of song it's going to be & where all the note/word holds are going to be. I guess it will keep me out of mischief for a bit though.
