Alcaraz is hard to break. KK had 15-40, but Carlos hangs on.

Carlos has to watch his time serving btw he already has a time violation and wasnt happy, regardless if the point was long

I think he was arguing with her to catch his breath. LOL.

In the third, he looks the stronger and fresher over Silent K.

Catching his breath okay lol! KAA played great in the 1st set, though I didnt expect him to keep that level up all match

A good server can w/ stand assaults on his serve as long as he doesn't Double Fault! This situation reminded me of Lendl vs Becker at Wimbledon back in 1986! At L-40, I figured w/ 3 chances in a row, Ivan would brk. thru finally! Boris saved them all & more, not dropping a set! Poor Lendl! :astonished-face:

Gezz Jannik trying to copy Carlos first set loss today in the QFs 76(3) LOL!
Jannik always seems to have trouble when he is playing against someone, like Mensik for the first time
Lets re-set! and you need to lift your 1st serve %,
Also Burn that bloody Mustard colour Nike made your wear, it makes me want to vomit, had enough of it at the AO this year Meh!

Jannik your killing me after having all the momentum in the 2nd set winning 62 and now this Crap
Well done to Mensik who never went away in the match and deserves his win defeating Sinner 76(3) 26 63!

Sinner is not himself. Too many errors. The two backhands Mensik played to break Sinner to close out the match were of highest quality. Congrats.

Sinner seemed a bit low in the AO, too. Mensik was impressive, though I'm not totally sold on him yet.

I have No Words, after Sinner having all the momentum in the 2nd set, a well deserved win from Mensik.
Jannik has become a UFE machine, especially in the final set, when I was confident he would go on win the match, he hasnt improved since the AO.

Mensik was darn impressive. His backhand is fierce and he’s an active volleyer. Honestly think that he’s on trajectory to challenge Sincaraz. Solid both sides, got all the tools with good footwork and he’s rapid

Menšík's no slouch! He made a name for himself by defeating Novak in Miami final last year! He's backing up his results but for injury time off the court! He was seeded to play Djokovic in the AO 4th Rd., but had to WD! The old man didn't have an easy draw, but lucky for him Lorenzo retired up 2-0 & Mensik WD to assist him getting to Sinner who he upset in 5 sets! End rant!:fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:
