I don't know how many of my fellow posters were able to watch the feed of the Martincova-Siniakova first round match but it was a real slug fest. Both players were wildcards, and I believe Siniakova led 5-1 in the final set tie breaker only to have Martincova come back and win the match 9-7 in the third set tie breaker. Three hours on court, I found it very entertaining. Nice exchange between the two at the net at the finish as well.

Good win for Jil Teichmann defeated Angie Kerber (6) 62 63,Jil playing first strike tennis,Jil was r/up to Ash Barty at Cinncy this year,I thought she maybe a dangerous floater at the USO,though went out early.

Anett has been playing solid tennis all tournament and deserves her place in the final

Maria is into her first WTA singles final in over two years,defeating the top seed Swiatek in straight sets.
Anett is into her fourth final of the season,has yet to drop a set,defeated Kvitova the 2nd seed in straight sets.

Anett's been playing more focused and consistent tennis since she dumped Sears as her coach. Best move ever.
