He does seize up at 3-1. Drops serve and doesn't win another game. Loses the match 7-5 5-7 3-6. Mahut w/ 3 aces in the final game holds at love. Congrats to Nico on his 2nd career title (both on grass this year).

Back to the drawing board for Lleyton. He served for the match and was broken and up a break in the final set and broken again.

Tough one for Hewitt but delighted all the same for Mahut. Winning his 2nd title at his age within a month of his first one must be very satisfying. He has a great grass game.

I'm also thrilled for Mahut. No titles, then two at 31. It's a good story, because I think this also lets him off slogging through quallies.

Kudos to Nico for winning his 2nd ATP title. Both on grass and within 4 weeks. :clap

Great showing by Mahut on Sun. He played 3 matches and won 3 (a singles SF in the morning, the final w/ Hewitt in the afternoon and a doubles SF in the early evening. That's some serious roadwork for a 31 year old. The doubles final will be decided tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.)

Lleyton's famous fighting spirit seems to be a paper thin front these days... more bark than bite. When things get tight, it seems to be Lleyton who blinks first... eve if accompanied by loud shouts of C'mon.

Really outstanding. he won both his events, while ranked outside of the top 100. first when was ranked 240, second 127.

that's some really impressive stuff. made me wonder why he didn't fare any better at Wimby, but with his workload at that age, it's not shocking of course (and Robredo himself was still kind of on a run). anyway, what a sommer for Nicolas. wonderful :)

That's great news. Hadn't heard the doubles result but knew he was playing for that too. What a great tournament for Mahut and a great 2 months. 3 titles at age 31 in 3 months. Nice guy too. Very happy for him.
