OK, polls are as popular here as sand in Dubai, but let's give it a shot anyways. Time to lay your allegiance at the altar of your favorite. Who are you rooting for to win the WTF Trophy? Not who do you expect to win, but who would make you the happiest if you saw him lift that finger-print stained aluminum trophy in one week's time?

Novak of course.

And if by chance he is unable to defend his title, then I hope Berdych finds a way to win.

Of course Andy . But i dont think he will take this seriously as he has davis cup final.

I also want Roger to win this as he was close in 2 slams this year. This will be a good consolation for him and good way to end the year.

Here are my wishes, and as I am a good boy I want them all fulfilled.

Hope Federer wins after beating Nadal in the semis.

Hope Nadal gets to semis just because the other two got killed by a giant cement truck which happens to invade the practice courts. He loses the semi 6x0 6x0 and fires uncle Toni.

Hope Djokovic gets to final after beating Murray on the other semifinal, which ended on the second game because a Scotsman separatist attacked Murray with an axe (but, don't worry, he is not killed, just loses one arm).

Djokovic loses the final, as he rips himself off, after spreading his legs 180 degrees chasing a ball serving 6-6 on the first set tie break. Discussions about who-would-have-won-had-he-not-got-injured go on till the universe fades out due to thermal death.

Since the question is who do I want to win (vs. who do I think will actually win), I can safely vote for Nadal.

I keep hoping the little Samurai will lift a big trophy one day. But the guy can't seem to stay away from MTOs and tour doctors. :nono

I went out on a limb and picked Stanislas--it would cap his year after winning in Paris in the spring. Nadal winning would fill a huge hole in his record as well, but I think Stanimal has more of a chance based on current form.

:snicker good one

I have to say I am thrilled with this draw as it enables a lot of options I am personally looking for. For starters I love watching Djokovic vs Federer Indoors. It's such a great display of all-court tennis in its most skillfull and entertaining way. Roger having to pull off all the tricks out of his 'Wile E. Coyote ACME box' to hit through Novak's road running puzzles and riddles. On a rainy November evening? What's not to like. And since 2016 is uncertain territory for everybody it might be one of Roger's last opportunities to win this event. It would be funny if he were to stop Novak and therefore protecting his younger self's 2006 season.

The rather dead bounce on this surface might favor Novak but it's going to be very interesting nonetheless. Just no more SABR (Shanking At BReak points), Roger, please! As Nehmeth recently stated, Berdych was playing confident lights out tennis in his close encounter with Nole in Paris. He'll give both men a run for their money and maybe even sneak a semi final spot. Nishikori is the last man to have taken a set off of Nole on this court since 2013 in last year's semifinals and he's the last man to have beaten him on a Grand Slam hard court. He might not be fully fit and is coming off a tough season but at least he's got the proven shotmaking abilities off of both wings to hit through the Serb and isn't a mismatch from a match-up point of view.

I'm not sure Stan is beating Nadal here as anybody else seems to be thining. Nadal won 61 62 in Shanghai while Stan prevailed two nailbiting tie-breakers by the skin of his shorts in Paris. And since Nadal is the more consistent player on a point by point basis, he probably takes this in 3. I have no idea about Andy's mindset right now. Winning the Davis Cup for Great Britain seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity and an achievement that would turn him into a legend, so I figure his mind and heart might be somewhere else. But since he's playing in London he surely will give it a go and see if the tournament opens up for him.

Semis: Djokovic over Wawrinka / Federer over Nadal

Final: Djokovic over Federer in 3

My dream? Nishikori to shock the world and take home the trophy in a four hour battle royale vs. Stan. Samurai vs Shorty MacShorts.

If you watch Andy matches all round the world, he is actually very popular with tennis fans, because they like his game, his variety of shot. As is often the case, I don't think tennis forums accurately reflect overall fan feeling in the world. Look at the amount of hate Nadal gets on forums, but wherever he plays, the crowds love him!

I can't vote in this poll because I am torn. Of course I'd love to see Andy win, but not only do I deem it unlikely, due both to the presence of Nole and Roger, and due to a certain event happening in Belgium shortly afterwards, but I don't want Andy to be too tired out by the WTF, because of that certain event in Belgium. I'd definitely like Andy to do enough at the 02 to secure YE#2 though.

This is a mild surprise. There are more TF Djoko fans than TF Fedal fans combined.

There are near tributes to Nole on other sites! Even my last couple blogs are littered with comments, amazements, and potential additions to the record books with him of late! The tournament wins are piling up and he's overtaking Federer and Nadal with impunity; almost dismissive with Rafa! Right now only flashes of brilliance from Roger and Stan seem to phase him! I can tell when he's comfortable and will win or lose no matter what happens early! I haven't watched that FO final since, but even though Nole won the first set, he didn't look confident and may have been gifted it by Stan! I thought he could be in trouble; probably going the distance! Unfortunately he couldn't get it to the 5th! They're replaying the AO final from 2012; still trying to recover after all these years! I hope they started enforcing "the clock" more strenuously after a 5:53 match! If not for Djokovic being gluten-free, Rafa may have STOLEN another title! :p  :dodgy:

I think it's too soon to predict who is going to win and if every player would be able to play his best then even more difficult to know who will win and I expect to see a good game and competition from all of them, it would be very entertaining to watch :popcorn  :eyepop
Anyway, my wish and vote goes for Nadal

It certainly would shake things up if Stan were to win. The main thing which often holds him back is his head. I don't think anyone who watched The Match against Roger last year will ever forget it. A classic example of Stan grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory. Yet, then he can do something phenomenal, like win Roland Garros.

Do you think it would be good for tennis if an outsider, such as Stan or Berdych, were to win? I mean that in terms of tennis's global popularity. Federer has a gazillion fans who will be pulling for him, of course, and Nadal and Novak are highly popular as well. Their fans would be disappointed if they lost, but perhaps tennis needs a shake up at the top.

We saw Radwanska shake things up a bit at the WTA Finals, but that was different with Serena gone and the other top players very streaky right now. Still, Aga's win was fun to see.

How about Ferrer? That'll shake things up a bit! Japan would go nuts if Nishikori came through. After all the failures throughout his career, it would really be something special to see Berdych or Ferrer to take it. But the top four-five are just so tough. Even if one or two falter, the other two will step up. That is the strength of the Big Four right now.

I think Ferru and Nishi were very smart retiring of Valencia and Nishi I don't remember well from where.
Now they are more fresh and rested. Ferru says that he is very motivated and ready to give a surprise :eyepop

A surprise? I'd be surprised if he wins a single match. Nadal is about the only guy he's gonna beat here but I doubt he'll even manage that.
