Someone pointed out to me about the glaring difference of prize money the women and men are playing for in Rome
Women will compete for $ 3.9 million, while their male counterparts will compete for $8.5 million
I guess $8.5 million buys you more layers of cake than $3.9 million :)
Apparently the tournament director hopes to improve the prize money in the next couple of years? women play the best of 3 sets matches, also the tournament sells one same price ticket for both men's matches and women's matches

Sorana Cirstea comes back from a set down and then from 0-2 down in the 3rd set to defeat Volynets 26 63 64, to reach the 2nd Rd
Sorana has now won 16 of her last 19 matches
Sorana will play Ostapenko on Friday

Badosa finds her range in the 2nd set 62, Friedsam 1st set 64, toilet break, going 3 sets, i t is late in Rome, only a sprinkle of fans watching
There are more fans watching the Giorgi v Rus match, well Giorgi is Italian, you would expect she would attract more fans, still not a lot. Identical scores, to Badosa v Friedsam match :) Friedsam 1st set 64, Giorgi 2nd set 62, going sets

Taylor Townsend scored her 2nd Top Ten win defeating Jess Pegula 62 36 63. Well done Taylor, Jess came out very flat in the 1st set, commies though she was ill, she rebounded in the 2nd set, though the variety of Townsends game proved to be the winner in this match
Taylors other Top ten win against Halep USO 2019.

Yep, my mom got it in her late 70s. I think ultimately it's what took her outta here. She was never the same afterwards.

Yes. Because of what happened to Mom, I took part 1 of the shingles vacc in Feb. I'll take the 2nd part before our trip to Aus
