Kohli hitting well tonight; then one lapse and there's the break. Novak's angles are widening the court, he's more dialed in.

Yeah, he's showing that off right now.

That was an absolutely ridiculous display of defense and execution. Wow.

Nice pic Denis.

I am looking forward to one of him holding the trophy at RG one day.

One of the former posters used this pic I believe. I'll use it for safekeeping.

I'm hoping this year nehmeth.

Looks like the quarters are going to be more fun than the semis. Definitely skipping the Raonic match if he and Novak make it there.

Nice job turning that one around. Good to see Kohlscreiber playing well, even though he lost. He's had a bad patch.

Yeah, nice to see both Kohl and Youzhney in decent form today. They made both matches interesting...

I still can't believe he took a set from Rafa. He should have been bulldozered. Rafa was really struggling with his serve.

I think Rafa is improving but he's still suffering horrendous concentration lapses, and he's serving woefully. But...he's improving, which is better than him just going away. Whether he's improving quick enough for Paris, is the big question. I think he'll be fine, but he needs to tighten up so many parts of his game...

I'm as optimistic as you, which means that I am actually not seeing any improvements. He looked genuinely bewildered after the first set, never ever seen that before. But Rafa is a fighter. If there ever was a player you are not calling a match on before the last point is played, its Rafa. So I'll just wait and see what happens at RG. I prefer him to make it to the finals though. Both in Rome and RG. I'd like Novak to work on their h2h.

I frankly don't see how Nadal is improving. As in, what specifically about his game has improved since Monte Carlo?

More depth on his shots, sometimes, and more intensity in his play. He's not serving at all well, and he's inconsistent, but he's getting more depth in his shots, slowly but surely.

A problem for him is, players aren't so timid around him anymore, as we saw with Kei, and then Simon peeling off winners too. He's not consistent enough, nor does he look fully sure of himself, but he's defintely better than he was against Ferrer in MC, or Almagro in Barcelona...
