Well, Monf decided to join the proceedings in the second set. Up a break, leading 4-1.

Couple of great forehands gives Kei the break to go up 5-3 in the third set. Serving for the match.

Kei closes it out. Good for him. Not so good maybe for Roger...

This turned out to be quite the rollercoaster, what usually Gael's matches are

Milos on court. I always worry about his movement on grass after that injury he suffered in Wimby couple years ago. Big guys like him , when they are wrong footed or just slip, their momentum is difficult to stop .

Milos is struggling. Gjowcyzk is a pretty decent player. He is dealing with Milos's serve better than most. The first serve is not there from Mios by the way. And the German breaks. Unexpected.

Gojo breaks Milos. You felt this coming. He looks very comfortable on grass, plus Milos first serve % is in dumpsters.

Goyo takes the first set. Milos is not adjusting to the speed of the surface. His footwork is bad so far.

Goyo breaks again and has the lead in the second. He is playing way beyond his ranking. The set he took from Rafa in Doha shows he is capable .

Beside reading well the service, Gojo returns with big depth, close to the lines. he is like Djokovic out there. Why is he ranked this low, that is the question?

He also beat Tsonga in the DC.

Milos goes home in straights. How is this guy 120 anyways?
Only consolation Milos can have is that the wimby grass is only half as fast as this one. His movement was totally off.

All credit to Goyo.

[split] Halle

Nadal is probably gonna end up playing Kohlschreiber in his first match in Halle. He lost to him there in 2012 too :D Oops did I say too. My bad :p

No, he will start against Dustin Brown tomorrow. But if he wins he would meet Kohlschreiber in the quarter final.

Ah right. Thought he met the winner of Kohlschreiber v Brown. Either way, both are tough matches.

RE: 5, 9, 10, 14...

Definitely not easy. Brown won't give him much rhythm regardless of the result and Kohlschreiber matches up quite well with Nadal on lower bouncing surfaces.

Federer and Nadal have met just once outside Masters/Tour Finals/Slam events for all their years of dominating the tour, that was in Dubai in 2006.

This is one of the few courts where I think Roger could probably beat Rafa, definitely hoping they can both reach the final to find out.
