This! Two of my favourite quotes/speeches in movie history were by him. Apocalypse now and his story about the old bull in Colors. Fantastic!OMG, from Boo in "To kill a Mockingbird" to "The great Santini" to TV's "Lonesome Dove", to "Network" to "Tender Mercies".... the list goes on and on and on
Loved him as Bob Hodges in "Colors"; his pivotal role as Tom in the first two Godfather movies (how pivotal could be seen in how the 3rd film faltered without his character as Coppola in hindsight conceded), I thought of his roles in "The Judge", "A Civil Action" , again the list is endless
and of course Colonel William , "the smell of napalm in the morning." from "Apocalypse now"
Another one I liked him in was "Falling Down" with Michael Douglas. One that flew under the radar a little.OMG, from Boo in "To kill a Mockingbird" to "The great Santini" to TV's "Lonesome Dove", to "Network" to "Tender Mercies".... the list goes on and on and on
