From what I have read Vika withdrew citing a foot injury

This was to be the last time in the short term that Vika could have been seeded two and avoid Serena until the final. Li will be ranked two after Doha and will enjoy being as far from Serena as possible in the draw.

Whether it is her foot keeping her away, I imagine Vika must be suffering emotionally from that loss to Aga.

I hope Serena is feeling better and is ready to continue strong. I am looking forward to seeing her on clay and hopefully defending her French Open crown. I hope the early defeat in Australia provided some good motivation.

According to Matt Cronin...Vika has also withdrawn from Dubai and her next tournament will be Indian Wells in March.It is her left foot and she felt the pain in her match against Radwanska at the AO.
